Freeborn County has approximately 18 volunteer rain gauge readers.
These volunteers received a rain gauge and recording forms from the Freeborn
County Environmental Services Department. They then record precipitation
totals daily and mail them into the Freeborn Soil & Water Conservation District.
The district then records them on a database on the web for the
State Climatology
Office at the University of Minnesota. The results are shown below.
