Watershed Based
Implementation Funds | WBIF

Watershed Based Implementation Funds (WBIF) provide funding to support local governments in implementing water quality improvement efforts on a watershed scale. These funds are allocated based on approved, comprehensive watershed management plans developed through Minnesota's One Watershed, One Plan (1W1P) process.

Landowners and farmers can receive financial assistance from the Freeborn SWCD through WBIF for conservation practices that improve soil and water quality. To receive funding, landowners or farmers must apply for a cost-share contract with the Freeborn SWCD.
