MAWQCP is a voluntary and non-regulatory program to help farmers and landowners protect our states streams, rivers, and lakes.

Freeborn County currently has 24 Certified Producers and we are looking to increase that number in the coming years.

The benefits to becoming certified are:

  •  Regulatory Certainty for 10 years (certified farms are deemed to be in compliance with new water quality rules for 10 years)

  • Priority for assistance

  • Recognition
