DNR Well Monitoring

SWCD staff monitor and measure five DNR Observation Wells throughout the county.

Each well is measured several times throughout the year with a steel tape. The tape is lowered down each well to a predetermined length.

The length of the tape that is wet is recorded. 

​

Records for the measured wells are entered onto the DNR database and data is utilized to understand the changes that are happening at those well locations regarding ground water.
