Annual Tree Sale
Once a year, the Freeborn County Soil & Water Conservation District holds an annual tree sale. We offer a variety of trees and shrubs used for conservation and wildlife benefits. Our bare root trees are sold in bundles of 25, and single 1-2 gallon containers. ​

Tree Services
The Freeborn County Soil & Water Conservation District can assist landowners with farmstead and field windbreak design, species selection, on-site layout, and planting equipment rental.
Conservation Tree & Shrub Group
Each soil type has a Conservation Tree & Shrub Group (CTSG). A CTSG represents a summary of climate and soil conditions that affect tree or shrub growth and survival. This number helps us determine which trees/shrubs would be best to plant for each soil type and is one of the first step we take when assisting landowners with tree selection.​​
